Scratchboard Workshop – RFA

Scratchboard Workshop at Rocklin Fine Arts

Thursday, February 20th, 12:30 – 4 pm

Sometimes called “the art of taking away”, scratchboard
is a medium that allows for amazing detail, but is also surprisingly forgiving.
In this introductory workshop, you’ll learn the basic techniques for working
on scratchboard. Knives will be used in class, but any abrasive object can be
used to remove the black ink from a board to reveal the white coating beneath.
Ink can be added and re-scratched, allowing for softness and a range of tones
to enhance the detail. Open to all levels. Ann will provide reference photos
and all materials.

$65 per person, must pre-pay (to Ann)
Class size is limited to 10 students
Held at IQ Gallery in Rocklin CA.
3700 Midas Ave., Ste. B

Pay via PayPal (no account required)

Or mail a check for $65  made out to Ann Ranlett to PO Box 960, Newcastle CA 95658

Payment must be received by February 17th.
