“Drop Ins” are held at Embellishments Artist Studio in Auburn, 1021 Lincoln Way; they’re for students who have taken a workshop with Ann or who have previous scratchboard experience. They’re scheduled from 12 -A 4, usually the 3rd or 4th Friday of each month, January through October. Ann will offer a one-day workshop in April & September instead of drop-ins. Students on Ann’s mailing list will receive notification of the dates,A please contact Ann if you’re not on her class notification list & would like to be added.
This is not formal instruction, but an opportunity to get together with other scratchers, make some progress on a project, and share. Of course, Ann will be available for advice, but it’s not a structured workshop, and she’ll be working on her own drawing(s). Examples of works in progress and some finished works will be on hand, and she’ll be happy to pull up her online images or share reference books to help with any issues or questions you may have.
Bring your own supplies, they’re not included in the “drop in”, but basic supplies and fresh scratchboards (either Ampersand Scratchbord or Claybord) will be available to purchase. If you have never tried scratchboard and are curious about it, you’re welcome to stop in to visit.
The block of time is 12 – 4.
Drop in for all 4 hours, 1 hour, or anything in between.
Cost is $10 per hour, or $5 per half hour.
